This role will focus on relationships with suppliers and internal teams, you will be account managing suppliers based in the London area. Your role within the company will be office based but 2- 3days a week meeting with suppliers. You will be responsible for managing supplier accounts effectively in order to optimise their performance in terms of cost price, quality, service and innovation.

Duties:

  • Be accountable for smaller categories allocated, with commercial ownership of supplier performance within those.
  • To manage supplier accounts effectively in order to optimise their performance in terms of cost price, quality, service and innovation. Identify and secure new supplier partnerships to enhance the product portfolio. 
  • To source market leading promotional offers to satisfy requirements of key clients and direct sale.
  • Deliver an agreed Product Strategy ensuring overall targets are met in terms of revenue and iGP.
  • Ensure that service and delivery considerations, capacity planning and the ‘VED Working Together’ best practice guide are fully communicated to suppliers from the outset and taken into account at every stage of selection, procurement and launch / release.
